According to ESPN, Paraguayan international Mattias Galarza will join Inter Miami from River Plate.
The Paraguayan midfielder signed with Inter Miami on Wednesday, officially completing the transfer on the final day of the MLS transfer window.
Galassa is no stranger to MLS, having played for Atlanta United on loan earlier this year. He made 13 appearances for Atlanta United in all competitions, providing one assist, including in the MLS regular season and the U.S. Open Cup.
Galarza also played a crucial role for Paraguay at the 2026 World Cup, scoring a goal in the group stage match against Turkey and providing an assist in the Round of 16 victory that upset Germany.
Galarza became Inter Miami's second signing on deadline day, following the arrival of Brazilian winger Riquelme Filipi, whose transfer was confirmed earlier on Wednesday.
When these two players joined the team, Kily González had just taken over as the team's new head coach, replacing interim coach Guillermo Oyos.
Inter Miami also made several roster changes during this transfer window. According to ESPN sources, defender Noah Allen will join the Chicago Fire. The two clubs are in advanced negotiations, and the deal is expected to be finalized soon.
The MLS secondary transfer window will close at midnight on Wednesday.
Allen was absent from Inter Miami's training session on Wednesday morning. Inter Miami also loaned midfielder David Ruiz to the New York Red Bulls as part of the deal, with the team receiving $75,000 in general distribution funds in 2027. The New York Red Bulls also have an option to buy Ruiz at the end of this season.
Inter Miami is currently second in the Eastern Conference standings with 42 points from 22 games.
