As a club that is constantly developing, the core of all its strategic plans lies in consolidating its own foundation.

Benjamin Parrault, general manager of Lens FC and former public relations director, succinctly explained the club's decision to invest €7 million in renovating its Geylette training ground this summer: "In a way, we chose to 'sacrifice' a transfer budget and instead invest in our own development." The renovation of the Avignon training ground, which has served as Lens's training center since 2002, is one of the core projects of the club's "three-year action plan."

On Monday noon, the sunshine that dispelled the gloom brought a smile to the faces of Lens' management – Raphael Varane, a member of the 2018 World Cup-winning team and a key figure in Lens' youth academy, officially unveiled the new training ground named after himself, which is the "finishing touch" of the new Geylette training ground.
