In an interview with The Athletic, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder expressed regret over the actions of several Argentine players, particularly concerned about the potential negative influence on younger fans.
“Everyone saw that scene, and nobody wanted to see it. Many children watch football, and we shouldn’t take that kind of scene as an example. Winning should be done with style, and losing should be done with style. Nobody likes to lose, but it was a regrettable moment in the World Cup final,” the Spanish world champion said.
Fabian Ruiz now hopes that Spain's celebration at that moment will remain the most memorable image of that intense final.
